artist bio.
Rai “Hitman Kaht” Ngani is a music producer and recording artist based in Nairobi, Kenya. Founder and Boss of Bridge Records Entertainment. His genre of music is AFro-Urban (AFro-ABrand). Hitman’s professional career began in 2017 when he released debut single Washa Iwashe, from his bedroom studio, catching attention of local rappers from his hood, Donholm. He later made an alliance, 34 GVNG, 34, representing Donholm as Public service vehicles (Matatu Culture) going to Donholm use route label 34.
Together with 34 GVNG they went on to release one album (Trap VS Trapuka) in 2018 which gave them a buzz within the city. They promoted their music online with cool photography, stunt videos, graphics design, memes and fashion. At a glance fans noticed their catchy hooks, rap flows & production. In 2019, they collaborated with Gwaash, a then rising gengetone artist, to produce arguably one of the biggest songs in Kenyan history, Wabebe. They followed up with other singles like Olunga, Poko.T, Mangwariti among others which garnered them a large fanbase, off the momentum. Unfortunately in late 2020, the group unfortunately had to part ways due to unreconsilable issues.
Hitman at this time starting his solo career dropped, Kenya Sihami, a Hip Hop track deviating from his typical dancehall style and it went on to chart on radio solidifying him as a force in the music industry. In 2022, he released the demo version of his first album, Kahtalogue, which was successful with records like Pele charting on multiple sites. After that he went on to release a series of Beat Packs and 1 EP “Bridge Boss” in 2023. In 2024 he released a refix to viral hit song by “Anguka Nayo” which fans were excited about as he returned his infamous tag line ” Hitman Ting Hitman Ting” “Badman Ting Badman Ting” spiking a series of viral moments online from the old catalogue.
Hitman today is a unique and special talent that fans have come to love and appreciate for his consitency in quality and strategy. Only time will tell his true potential.
